IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

We need cedula/passport numbers for every parent.?Ǭ† Please send your cedula number written on a piece of paper.?Ǭ† This is for filling out important information for the Secretary of Education.?Ǭ† Please turn in this number by Monday, March 3.?Ǭ† If you neglect to turn in your numbers by this date, your child will be sent home.?Ǭ† Thank you for your attention and help in this matter.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Our PK4 and K5 classes both did a nice job with their Independence Day poems.?Ǭ† Thank you students of PK4 and K5 for your participation in our celebration of Independence Day!

1.SCHOOL UNIFORMS?¢‚Ǩ‚ÄùMany of our students have become lack in the color of the uniform and shoes they are wearing to school or they are wearing shorts that do not meet school standards. We will continue to encourage our students to come in a proper uniform by having uniform checks and sending them home if they do not dress correctly.

2.MID-TERM REPORTS?¢‚Ǩ‚ÄùWe will be sending mid-term reports home with every student who has earned less than 70% in any subject on Monday, March 3. You, as parents, need to sign them and return them by Wednesday.

3.NO SCHOOL?¢‚Ǩ‚ÄùThere will be no school the week of March 17-21 in observance of Holy Week.

4.DAY 1-DAY 2 SCHEDULE?¢‚Ǩ‚ÄùMonday, February 25, will be Day 2.

VALENTINE’S DAY
There are valentine cards being sold as a fundraiser to send some of our 6th-11th grade students to the United States this summer.?Ǭ† If you would like to purchase a Valentine to be delivered to your child on Valentine’s Day, please see Miss Fluth or Miss Staats.?Ǭ†

These ladies have been chosen to represent the teachers and staff as modeling DILIGENCE. Both of them have put in many extra hours to accomplish things for the sports program and to help the office run smoothly. We appreciate the effort. JCS is a better school because of your dedication.?Ǭ†

Just a reminder: the gate will be closed at 8:10am every morning.?Ǭ† Students will not be allowed to go to class after 8:10am.?Ǭ†?Ǭ†

REMINDER

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢Please bring a change of clothes. Preschoolers sometimes have accidents and we need to be prepared with a change of clothing for your child.

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢Please do not send gum or candy to school for snack.?Ǭ†

?¢‚Ǩ¬¢PK3-K5 kids should not bring bottles to school, cups with lids are great.

1.?Ǭ†NEXT WEEK?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢S MENU?¢‚Ǩ‚ÄùAttached to this Friday Letter you will find next week?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s menu for the Cafeteria. Please check the days your child will eat at the school and return it on Monday along with the payment. Lunch will be $50 RD each.

2.?Ǭ†GIRLS SOCCER TOURNAMENT?¢‚Ǩ‚ÄùThere will be a girl?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s soccer tournament on Saturday, February 16. All players need to be here at 8:45 AM. Parents, please plan to come and support them and cheer for them on Saturday.

3.?Ǭ†VALENTINE?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢S DAY?¢‚Ǩ‚ÄùStudents will be allowed to wear red, pink or white shirts on Valentine?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s Day for 5 pesos. They may wear colored slacks for an additional 5 pesos. The comedor will be selling chocolate candy on Thursday for a fundraiser for Camp Eagle.

4.?Ǭ†FIELD TRIP?¢‚Ǩ‚ÄùThe 6th ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú 11th grades will be going on field trip to Santo Domingo on Friday, February 29. They will be leaving at 6:30 in the morning and returning at 7:00 in the afternoon.
