?¢‚Ǩ?ìA man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù Proverbs 18:24 When I was growing up, sometimes my church would close the service with the congregation holding hands and singing, ?¢‚Ǩ?ìI’m so glad I’m a part of the family of God.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù?Ǭ† I thought, and still do, of the people in my church as my family.?Ǭ† When I came here to JCS, I became a part of the JCS family.?Ǭ† I have my family by birth.?Ǭ†?Ǭ† We can’t choose the family that we are born into, but we can choose to be part of the family of God.?Ǭ† Think about it ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú God created us all…but gave us a free will, a will to choose.?Ǭ† We are born with a sinful nature.?Ǭ† God cannot be in fellowship with sin.?Ǭ† In order for us to have fellowship with God, He sent His Son, Jesus to be the Savior of all who would CHOOSE to be in his family!?Ǭ† We must choose to be in the family of God ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú and we can choose that, because He first chose us!?Ǭ† Jesus is the ?¢‚Ǩ?ìfriend who sticks closer than a brother.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù?Ǭ†?Ǭ† Leah Law, Early Childhood Director
